LCPC, MA

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

I specialize in couples therapy, utilizing a direct and empathic approach that fosters emotional support while instilling hope and optimism. Research indicates that only 1 in 10 clinicians have specialized training in couples therapy, and I pride myself on staying current with effective practices to provide the best care for my clients. Many couples seek therapy after facing significant challenges, and they often need immediate intervention to stabilize their emotional connection. In these situations, individuals may withdraw, build resentment, and feel increasingly isolated. I help couples identify their unmet needs, manage defensiveness, and develop new patterns of interaction that lead to positive outcomes, rather than leaving sessions feeling defeated.

A crucial aspect of successful therapy is finding the right fit between client and therapist. People want someone relatable, knowledgeable, and safe to explore their feelings with. As a Marine Corps veteran, mother of three, and happily married for 11 years, I bring real-life experience to my clinical work. This unique perspective allows me to navigate the complexities of parenthood and marriage with you while balancing career demands and everyday stressors.

I have worked extensively in community mental health, supporting individuals with severe mental illness, and I have been in private practice since 2020. Many clients come to me after less-than-satisfactory experiences with previous clinicians, often expressing feelings of being unheard or not challenged enough. My goal is for clients to leave each session with newfound insight, inspiration, and tangible skills to practice.

Throughout our therapeutic journey, I challenge common misconceptions, such as “We just aren’t compatible” or “Maybe I am meant to be alone.” Together, we will cultivate a healthier mindset that propels you toward your goals rather than self-sabotage. By addressing limiting beliefs and thinking traps—such as all-or-nothing thinking—and shedding fears of failure or rejection, we can foster a stronger sense of self and enhance feelings of security in relationships.

If you’re ready to embark on this journey, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. I would love to help you or a member of your family achieve a better, more fulfilling life.
